What is a TrackAlert™?
In a nut shell, it's the modern way to leave a safety note behind before you head out to do an activity which may be risky.   How many times has your mom said, "Leave a note where you’re going, just to be safe?"  Or, how many times have you been on a hike, mountain climb, hunting trip, mountain bike ride or whatever, and thought to yourself, "If I got hurt or lost, no one would even know where to begin to look for me?"   Well, now there is a way to leave that note on the internet before you head out.   Your emergency contacts will receive that safety note via email and it will provide them with all of the information you leave with TrackAlert™ in a format which can be used to assist a search and rescue party.   In many cases, if you are injured, lost or victimized, your safety and survival will depend on someone else coming to your rescue if you are unable to help yourself.

Use TrackAlert™ for Outdoor Safety?
Enjoying the great outdoors is something which everyone should do, but anyone who is an experienced outdoor enthusiast can tell you that an injury can happen at any time when on the trail.   Simply stepping on the wrong rock can lead to a broken ankle.   Ever try walking with one of those? What about that rattle snake you didn’t see until it found you first?   Or a slip down that ledge or tree stand, which looked so easy to climb, has left you with an injury which prevents you from walking.    I think you get the picture.   It can happen to anyone and every year it happens too many, even the experts.   Well, by now you'd be wondering how you’re going to find help.    Does anyone even know where you are?   Did you leave a note with details about where you were going and when you would return? Is that note sitting on your table where no one will even see it?   If you told someone where you were going and when you would be back, did they write it down?    Did they remember the details or are they busy with their own life?   You may think you'll be safe because you have a cell phone.    My personal experience has proven that cell coverage in the wilderness is unreliable at best and often unavailable.   And you know as well as I do that your battery will go dead right when you need it the most.   Your safety and survival may rely on someone else knowing where you are and that's where TrackAlert™ comes in handy.   It can speed up the process of alerting someone who could in turn, could arrange a search and rescue party to breing you to safety before it's too late.

Internet Dating Safety.
Internet dating is so popular these days that never before has it been so easy and so common to go on a date with someone who you really don't even know.   Is the person you are going to meet really the person they portrayed them self to be on line?   Are you going on dates with people who have never met any of your friends or family?   Probably.   Unfortunately, this system has become attractive to those with less than admirable intentions.   If something were to happen to you, would anyone even know who you went out with?   With TrackAlert™, you can leave details about your date on a note and set a time when you plan to return home safely.   If you don't return home by that time, the note will be emailed to your emergency contacts and they can use that information to locate you.   Also, if a date is making you feel "uncomfortable" while you are out, you can let them know that you have set a TrackAlert™ and if your not home soon, you’re emergency contacts will be notified.   That could provide that little extra piece of mind while dating.

Who else can use TrackAlert™?
Use your imagination!   You can end up in a survival situation while doing many different activities.   It is ideal for boating because many things can go wrong at sea. Hunters often go off alone and traverse difficult terrain or climb trees.   This can easily lead to a disabling injury.   Mountain bikers can get many miles away from help pretty fast and break down or get injured.   Mountain climbers and Canyoneers can easily get stuck in a canyon or injured.   The list goes on.   Maybe you’re a single professional living in a new city and you are going to go for a late run in the local park.    If you disappeared, how long would it take for someone to realize you were missing or even where you were last?   Maybe you should leave a note just in case?

How much can a TrackAlert™ help me?
That's really up to you.   A TrackAlert™ is not a substitute for good judgment and proper preparation for activities you are involved in. However, the amount of detail you leave on your TrackAlert™ safety message will determine how useful it is in getting help to you when you need it.   All of the information you provide, will be included in the safety email that is sent to your emergency contacts if your urgent TrackAlert™ message is activated.   The information you leave should include details which can be used by police or search and rescue authorities to find you.   Phone numbers where you can be reached are very important.   You might just forget to cancel a TrackAlert™ before it is activated but now your emergency contacts have received a message telling them that you might need help.   That's why it is very important that they can contact you and verify that you are safe.   Your vehicle information is also very important.   It is much easier for rescuers to find a vehicle than it is a person and many people are rescued, not long after their vehicle is located.   So it's a good idea to leave as much information as possible behind before you head out.

Will my personal information be kept private?
The answer is yes and no.   TrackAlert.com™ will not use any of your personal information in any way other than to provide this service. We will not sell your information to third parties or marketing companies and we will not release it to any entities other than your emergency contacts and legal authorities who are searching for you.

Always remember that your safety and survival in the outdoors requires you to plan for the worst when you head out, use good judgement in every decision and always use the original, TrackAlert.com™.

I hope you use TrackAlerts™ often because some day, setting one up may be the smartest decision you ever make.
