FAQ's
My emergency contacts are not receiving TrackAlert™ messages.
Be sure to have your emergency contacts check that emails from TrackAlert™ are not being removed by their
spam blockers. Have them check their spam folder for the messages. If they are there, they need to remove them from the spam with their mail settings.
Your safety and survival may depend on them receiving your TrackAlert™ message.
What time zone is used when setting a TrackAlert™?
TrackAlert.com™ uses the clock on the computer you are using when you
set up or modify your TrackAlerts™ to calculate when the alert messages
will be sent . It is very important that the clock on the computer you
are using is set correctly with the local time.
Who will be able to see my profile information?
The only people who may be able to view your personal information will be the emergency contacts you select when you set up your TrackAlert™ or the contacts you send a courtesy message to.
During a search and rescue operation, that information may be provided to others who are searching for you. If
you don't set up a courtesy notification and you cancel your Urgent
TrackAlert™ before the time you set expires, then your information will
be kept private.
What does a TrackAlert™ message look like?
We recommend you set up a "test" TrackAlert™ before you use
them for safety. This way you can verify the emails and links you will
receive from TrackAlert.com™ are working properly. This "test" will show you what
the TrackAlert™ messages look like and confirm that your emergency contacts are receiving the messages. Whenever you set a TrackAlert™ message, you will receive
an email with a link, so you can view the message that your emergency contacts will receive.
What personal information do I have to provide to TrackALert.com™?
You are only required to provide the basic information necessary to
contact you in an emergency. Most of this information is optional, but without this information, TrackAlert™ is
useless. The more information you provide about yourself and
your activity, the more effective TrackAlert™ will be in helping your
contacts assist you in an emergency survival situation.
Always remember that your safety and survival in the outdoors requires you to plan for the worst when you head out, use good judgement in every
decision and always use the original, TrackAlert.com™.
I hope you use TrackAlert™ often because some day, setting one
up may be the smartest decision you ever make.
