About Us
TrackAlert.com™ was founded by Paul Bria in 2009. Being a business jet
pilot, hiker, world traveler and adventure seeker, I often found
myself heading out on outdoor adventures all alone in very remote areas (In fact, that's me hiking on the home page). It
didn't take long for me to realize that doing so could be dangerous or
even fatal if one were to get injured or lost on the trail. My personal experience has shown that cell
service in the great outdoors can be unreliable or unavailable and not being able to contact
someone in an emergency could prove deadly. There are devices available to signal
for help if needed, but many of those options are very expensive and
they require you to be physically able to operate them. I created
TrackAlert.com™ because outdoor survival can depend on having a way to let others
know where you went and that you may be in trouble. That may be all it takes for someone to come to your rescue.
As a pilot, I am able to file a flight plan with the FAA for each flight. This flight plan alerts authorities if I don't arrive safely at my destination by a certain time and
activates a search and rescue process if I can't be contacted. Wouldn't it be great knowing that, in a survival situation, someone would be notified
if you didn't make it home safely? I decided that it would, so I created this website with the goal of enhancing the safety and survival
chances for anyone who participates in any outdoor activity.
There are many adventurers who head out on spontaneous hiking, hunting or mountain biking trips without telling anyone where they are going.
I designed TrackAlert™ just for you! Created by a true outdoor enthusiast, for enthusiasts, TrackAlert™ can be the added
safety measure you need to make it home safely. By using the power of the World Wide Web, you can set
up a TrackAlert™ anywhere in the world that you can get online. The number of uses for TrackAlert™
is only limited by your imagination. Whether going on a internet date, hiking or just
going running in the park, a TrackAlert™ can be used just to leave a message behind
for a loved one so they know where you went.
Remember, your safety and survival in the outdoors requires you to plan for the worst when you head out, use good judgement in every
decision and always use the original, TrackAlert.com™.
I hope you use TrackAlerts™ often because some day, your survival might just depend on it!
